Milky Way Miner Tournament Updates: More Rewards for All Players

Milky Way Miner, an established Web2 game, has been revamped through several Galactic Hubs grants and now successfully makes tournaments MUCH more rewarding for all. The game is available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

Updated Tournaments

The new tournaments will now be more rewarding for everyone who participates:

• Distribution of TLM to all players, not just the top of the leaderboard.
• Streamlining and removal of permanent boosts, making it harder to “pay to win”.
• Much cleaner onboarding for new players making it clear what the tournament prize is, when the tournament will start, and what the current status of the current tournament is.

The Tournament Timeline will remain the same as now:

[Tournaments being active each week depends on sponsorship, which is done in an open source way at https://www.doublecoconut.com/become-sponsor/ .]

• Starts: Each Saturday at midnight (GMT).
• Entry Deadline: Following Monday.
• Competition Period: Monday midnight to Saturday morning.

How to Get Involved

Participation is straightforward—stake the week’s specified NFT to enter the weekly tournament. This allows players to join the competition and aim for top leaderboard spots.

Tournament Payout Details

• The top 10 ranks have fixed percentages from the prize pool. See new percent below.

• The unused reward percentages and the reserve are shared equally among all players.
• NOTE: Players must score at least a few points to earn rewards. Just entering the tournament without playing will score no reward.

Community-Driven Evolution

This development stage invites players to get to know the ins and outs of Milky Way Miner. It’s a perfect opportunity for everyone to engage in friendly competition. Having evolved from a web2 game to now featuring elements from the Alien Worlds metaverse, Milky Way Miner is dedicated to evolving based on the feedback from the community.
